WSF recognition by PEP The Hague Volunteer Award:

World Sustainability Fund was rewarded for proposal to put her volunteers literally on the agenda by joining Amateur Tuinders Vereniging Loolaan in the Bezuidenhout district, where they can permanently enjoy our garden and shed to give them: 1. The opportunity to relax and meet for work and enjoy the clubhouse; 2. To organize a barbecue for the summer break; 3. At their discretion, actively participate in gardening and cultivation of fruit and vegetables.

Most of our volunteers are foreign students who live in flats and have no own garden, study in the city and work with us at the office. This initiative gives them a garden and Outside gathering. In addition, small projects can be done and support the surrounding gardens. Those contacts offer opportunity for culture and language development where much is needed. Such experiences usually go from mouth and encourage potential volunteers as well. The diversity of activities, indoor and outdoor, year-round, and the possibility of relaxation and barbecue, will help them to enjoy their volunteer work with us.
